Restrictions on the Railway Corridor from/to the Adriatic – Update No.7

18.4.2023

Dear Customers,

We would like to inform you that due to the worsening situation during last week, we were forced to reorganize our trains from/to the port of Koper. The main reasons were the following:

The planned closure of Slovenska Bistrica – Pragersko on 08.04.2023 -12.04.2023, which was supposed to end on 12.04.2023 at 7:00 p.m., was extended until 9:45 p.m., which caused a delay in the arrival of our trains to the port of Koper.

During the night from Friday 14.04.2023 to Saturday 15.04.2023, there were problems with the IT system, which slowed down handlings in the port.

Due to the lack of staff, during the last weekend, the handling of trains from the port of Koper was extended by more than 6 hours, which resulted in slower train changes and subsequent delays.

On Monday morning, 17.04.2023 we had to cancel 4 pairs of trains from the port of Koper, which were not dispatched before the planned lockout on the Koper – Divača line on 17.04.2023.

For the reasons stated, we were unfortunately forced to cancel 5 pairs of trains on Friday 14.04.2023, and the aforementioned 4 pairs of trains on Monday 17.04.2023 from/to the port of Koper. Despite our best efforts, we are currently unable to replace the canceled capacity. Unfortunately, the lack of capacity will affect the transit time of our trains from/to Koper.

In case of any questions regarding the current planning of your shipments and transit times from/to Koper, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service department.
