Current Situation on the Railway Corridor from/to Koper – Update No. 3

Dear Customers,
 
In recent weeks, we have been regularly informing you about adverse effects on our connections to/from the Adriatic.
 
Unfortunately, due to the fact that the situation on the Slovenian Railways continues not to improve, we were once again forced to adjust the train scheduling. Last week we were again forced to reorganise our trains from/to Koper and cancel 12 pairs of trains due to a combination of unfavourable circumstances on the entire railway network of the Slovenian infrastructure.
 
Summary of extraordinary events:

  • 02/09/2024 between 1:10 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., due to a damaged overhead line between Litija and Kresnica stations, transport was only possible along a partial section.
  • 02/09/2024 between 1:35 p.m. – 3:10 p.m., due to a damaged overhead line between Ljubljana – Ljubljana Šiška stations, transport was only possible along a partial section.
  • 02/09/2024 between 3:00 p.m. –  4:50 p.m., an extraordinary lockout was reported between Logatec – Rakek – Postojne stations due to construction work.
  • 04/09/2024 between 7:08 p.m. – 7:52 p.m., a damaged railway track was reported between Prešnica and Črnotiče, the section was closed for that period of time.
  • 05/09/2024 at 11:10 a.m,. a malfunction of the security device at Litija station was reported. Traffic was suspended, the fault was cleared at 1:32 p.m.
  • 06/09/2024 at 3:45 p.m., damage was reported to the right railway track between Brestanica-Krško, the case was resolved at 5:15 p.m.
  • 08/09/2024 between 5:03 p.m. – 8:20 p.m., the section between Ljubljana Vižmarje – Medvode was closed due to an incident.

We are constantly monitoring the situation and will keep you informed in case of new information.
