30.09.2022
Dear Customers,
With regard to previous news and at the same time based on your and your customers´ questions, we would like to inform you about the current operational situation on the corridor to and from North German seaports.
The accumulation of import shipments, the large imbalance of import and export shipments at the individual terminals, and coping with the consequences of the difficult operational situation – which we informed you about in Newsletter 122/2022 on 12.9.2022 -, continue to negatively affect the transit time of import and export shipments between the Ports of Hamburg, Bremerhaven and the hinterland.
The above-mentioned facts lead to an increase in the delivery time of import shipments by approximately 10-14 days. Unfortunately, it is necessary to count with this situation in the next 14 days as well.
In the export direction, we manage to cope with the situation, however, here too, especially for shipments destined for the Port of Bremerhaven, delays may occur compared to the required transport plan of your shipments.
Monday, October 3, 2022 is a public holiday in Germany, which can further complicate the entire operational situation.
We are trying to respond to these unfavorable circumstances on an ongoing basis by sending additional sets to ports without the appropriate load capacity and other internal operational measures. We believe that we can mitigate the impact of these circumstances on you and your customers as much as possible.
We will inform you about the operational situation and the resulting delay on Monday, October 3, 2022.
Thank you for understanding.
