Dear Customers,

We are updating information concerning our last newsletters regarding traffic restrictions in northern German ports and on German railways.

Unfortunately, we have to inform you that the situation continues to deteriorate. Due to the current restriction by DB InfraGO valid for export trains, shipments to the North German ports can only be sent based on the availability of the rail infrastructure, which is still not fully available after yesterday’s storms and neither are the infrastructure in the ports. This situation has an impact on the overall circulation of our train sets and negatively affects the import direction and also the Rotterdam and Duisburg services. The capacity of northern German port terminals is still not improving. According to the morning reports, delays regarding train handlings are increasing.

We are negotiating with the competent authorities regarding alternative routes in order to mitigate the delays as much as possible. However, the overall situation is very serious and we do not assume it to significantly improve in the coming days. Regarding this situation we will continue to inform you.
