Dear Customers,

Despite the expected stabilisation of traffic on the German, Austrian and Czech infrastructure, we regret to inform you again about the following extraordinary situation on the:
 
German railways:

• At the Ports of Hamburg and Bremerhaven, the dispositive arrival confirmation scheme has been reintroduced.
• Unannounced closure on the route Dresden – Knoten on 22/09/2023 from 7:00 p.m. to 04:00 a.m.
• Lack of dispatchers on some railway sections. 

Austrian railways:

• The Vienna – St. Pölten section is completely closed to freight trains during the day, with limited passage only at night.

This restriction affects services via LINZ, KREMS and additional services to other terminals in Austria. The Salzburg service is in full operation. 
 
For the above reasons, we are forced to stop trains that have already been dispatched again and to plan new trains ad hoc according to the available capacity. We expect irregularities in the timetable, which will lead to increasing delays.
We are still in contact with all authorities involved to obtain additional slots and alternative routes. In view of the planned restrictions and additional closures imposed to deal with the consequences of flooding or other urgent reasons, we will continue to deal with this situation in the coming days.
 
We apologise that we cannot bring you better news, but unfortunately these circumstances are beyond our control.
