The longest railway bridge in Czechia and the second oldest bridge in Prague, the Negrelli Viaduct, was reopened on 31 May 2020 after 3 years of reconstruction. When opened in 1850, it was the longest bridge in Europe and it remains a vital connection of both Vltava river banks by today.
Used by our trains to serve the Prague-Uhříněves terminal, it was of our privilege that our Bremerhaven – Prague and Prague – Hamburg container trains were the first regular trains to pass the bridge after its reopening.
