Disruption of Telephone and IT Systems at Hamburg Port Authority

Dear Customers,

This morning, shortly after 09:00, the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) experienced a disruption of its telephone and IT systems. Consequently, a ban on shunting operations was imposed for the entire Port of Hamburg, and the planned train slot schedules were cancelled.

The system restart encountered technical difficulties, resulting in certain applications remaining partially or entirely unavailable. HPA’s telephones and email services were restored around 10:00.

By early afternoon, we were informed that all IT systems were fully operational again and the shunting ban had been cancelled. At the same time, however, due to the intervention of the fire brigade, HPA stopped train services to and from Waltershof station, which means that services to and from the CTA, Burchardkai and Eurogate terminals have been suspended. Around 15:00, the intervention was completed and connections to the terminals were restored.

We are constantly monitoring the situation and in case there is any update, we will inform you.
