After several days, the weather has finally stopped complicating rail traffic. However, all services in the north of the METRANS network – Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Wilhelmshaven, Rotterdam, Duisburg – are still affected. The German railway infrastructure is congested and the circulation of trains and personnel is significantly disrupted. Connections to/from ports are experiencing significant delays and it will take some time before they return to regular schedules.
 
Gdańsk is currently operating with a 12-hour delay, but the outlook is positive.
 
The most complicated situation persists on services to/from Hamburg. Twelve trains are still stopped on the route to the port. However, eight of them should arrive in Hamburg today, as they have been granted entry by the HPA. Terminals are operating with delays, and imports are gradually departing for their destinations.
