Dear Customers,
Today, after 3:00 a.m., a train collided with a person on the line between Magdeburg and Hanover. For this reason, rail traffic in both directions was suspended. Export trains to northern German ports, Rotterdam, and Duisburg were unable to cross the German border and had to wait for permission. The operation was resumed at 7:22 a.m., trains slowly started moving again before 9:00 a.m.
This incident once again slowed down rail traffic in Germany, which is still suffering from the effects of the recent snowstorm. The HPA continues to control entry into Hamburg, which prevents us from increasing capacity and significantly disrupts train circulation.
