Dear Customers,

We would like to inform you that yesterday, 31/03/2026, in the evening, a major overhead contact line failure occurred on the Hamburg – Hanover railway line between Bad Bevensen and Uelzen. This section has been completely closed.
 
Since this is the primary detour route for the Hamburg – Berlin closure, the German railway infrastructure is not accepting any trains into Germany. At the same time, service in the opposite direction has also been suspended. All services transiting Germany to/from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, the Balkans, Poland, and, to some extent, domestic German services are affected. Please expect further delays.
