Dear Customers,
Please allow us to inform you about the surcharges for Q3 2026 and the adjustment of the fuel surcharge for the upcoming period effective from June 4, 2026.
Congestion Surcharge (CS)
As we regularly inform you in our newsletters, the operational situation remains highly complicated. In addition to the ongoing closures, new unplanned restrictions are occurring in some cases, both on the northern and southern corridors as well as at terminals. Construction works and maintenance activities, which result in short-term or complete closures, are often accompanied by further complications caused by technical failures. The railway infrastructure has been overloaded for a long time and is struggling to absorb the traffic redirected to diversion routes. These factors significantly affect the planning and circulation of our trains. The situation requires the deployment of additional resources and personnel, which results in further costs incurred. Despite these unfavourable conditions, the Congestion Surcharge (CS) for the upcoming Q3 period will remain unchanged. The current surcharge rates can be downloaded here.
Traction Energy Surcharge (TES)
Energy prices remain stable and therefore the traction energy surcharge for Q3 remains unchanged. The current surcharge rates can be downloaded here.
Rail Infrastructure Surcharge (RIS)
The surcharge for the use of railway infrastructure will also remain unchanged for Q3. The current surcharge rates can be downloaded here.
Imbalance Flow Surcharge (IFS)
During Q3, the Imbalance Flow Surcharge for import services from Hamburg to Gernsheim and from Hamburg to Nuremberg will also remain unchanged at EUR 10 / TEU.
Detour Surcharges (DTS)
Due to restrictions on road infrastructure and the necessity to use diversion routes, the Detour Surcharge remains in effect.
An up-to-date overview of restricted destinations and related surcharges can be downloaded here.
Fuel Surcharge (FS)
Fuel prices in the Czech Republic and Poland are slightly decreasing, and we will respond to this development by adequately reducing the Fuel Surcharge. The situation in the other countries — Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Romania, and Turkey — remains more or less stable and the Fuel Surcharge will therefore remain unchanged. The current surcharge rates valid from June 4, 2026 can be downloaded here.
TOLL
Toll charges for the second quarter remain unchanged. The current rates can be downloaded here.
