Dear Business Partners,

Due to Monday’s freight train derailment at Poříčany station, traffic on the Prague – Kolín line is stopped. The consequences of the accident are currently being eliminated and operation is expected to resume on Wednesday, 12.10.2022. Until then, Czech Railways had to introduce some challenging restrictions both in long-distance and regional transport. All traffic is routed along the Poděbrady – Nymburk bypass line, which is used by our trains between METRANS Česká Třebová Terminal and the northern ports. In addition, there is a lockout on this corridor and only one track is in service.
 
The accident and its consequences will have a serious impact on our services between Česká Třebová and the Ports of Hamburg, Bremerhaven and Rotterdam. We assume that throughout today and on Wednesday morning, our trains will not get a chance to pass through. We are continuously monitoring the situation and will use the nearest possibility at hand to restore the connection.
