Dear Customers,

We would like to inform you about a railway lockout at the Usti nad Labem North railway station, which is planned for the period from 23/08/2024, 7:00 a.m. until 10/12/2024, 5:00 p.m.

Due to the extensive reconstruction of a group of railway tracks, the operation of freight traffic at Usti nad Labem North station will be significantly restricted during the closure period and thus the standard accessibility of METRANS Usti nad Labem Terminal will be limited And solely during the nighttime hours, when there is not active passenger transportation.

Import and export container deliveries via METRANS Usti nad Labem Terminal will continue to operate without changes, however, due to the aforementioned restriction, it will not be possible to handle containers during the passage of a direct train. To ensure this service, we will use an alternative connection via METRANS Prague Hub Terminal and a night feeder train to/from Usti nad Labem. Because of implementing this measure may lead to delays of up to 24 hours due to modifications in routing through the Prague hub. 

Even though the lockout is related to planned investments in rail infrastructure by the Railway Administration, we have decided to fully cover the additional costs associated with the introduction of the alternative connection and not to charge you, our customer, an additional surcharge.

Our aim is to take confrontations with the decisions of infrastructure owners as challenges and we believe that we can overcome them together.
