Operational Situation in Northern Europe – Update No. 13

Dear Customers,

we would like to bring you an update following the weekend.

For northern German ports in general, the situation remains unchanged: import train services are fully booked weeks in advance, and the volume of import consignments accumulated in the ports is enormous.

Hamburg: From the afternoon of 28 January 2026, HPA has once again implemented traffic control for port access. Some port terminals are operating with delays.

  • CZ, SK: Train services are gradually resuming and rolling stock circulation is improving.
  • PL: Delays of 2–3 days in both directions due to continued irregularities in rolling stock circulation.
  • DE: Delays of approximately 6 hours caused by terminal delays.

Bremerhaven: Delays are occurring in both directions due to significant irregularities in rolling stock circulation.

Gdańsk: No change – trains are running without delays; capacity of planned terminal slots at Baltic Hub has been reduced by 30% for this week, and import capacity is fully booked until 19 February 2026.
