Dear Customers,
During the weekend, there was no significant improvement in the situation in northern Germany. Only three trains ran from Hamburg to the Czech Republic, and it was not possible to dispatch any trains towards Hamburg, as trains waiting in the port area and along the routes must be handled first. Services to Bremerhaven and Wilhelmshaven were operating and are still operating for now.
However, during the morning hours today, operations in Wilhelmshaven were suspended due to icing, and it is expected that the same complication will gradually occur in Bremerhaven and Hamburg, where the terminals are currently still operating.
The inland railway network is operating with difficulties; in some locations, services are still suspended due to frozen switches and uncleared snow (Leipzig, the Hanover area).
Hamburg: Import trains from the port are gradually resuming operations. At the moment, we have 26 trains standing idle in Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Austria in the direction of Hamburg. If the terminals are not closed due to icing, we expect that the HPA will allow entry for some services.
Bremerhaven: Trains are currently running, with delays during transit through Germany.
Wilhelmshaven: The port terminal has been suspended due to icing. Trains are still operating; delays are occurring during transit through Germany.
Rotterdam: The RSC terminal is operating without issues. Trains are currently running, with delays during transit through Germany.
Gdańsk: Snow is complicating terminal operations and causing outages of handling equipment, which is slowing down train handling.
Inland networks in the Czech Republic and Poland: No issues.
