Dear Customers,
The operational situation remains highly challenging. Due to a signal box failure in Deutsch Evern, freight trains are being rerouted via the heavily congested Hanover area. Some services are being diverted via Osnabrück and Dortmund. A critical situation is also affecting the Leipzig region. Numerous trains in both directions have been held at various locations across the German rail network. While some services have already resumed operation, others are expected to remain delayed for several more hours while awaiting the allocation of train paths. The situation is also impacting trains running from the northern German ports to Austria. In addition, based on forecasts issued by the German Weather Service (Deutscher Wetterdienst), DB InfraGO has issued a preliminary warning for adverse weather conditions and significant operational disruptions expected towards the end of the week.
