With regard to our newsletter No. 078/2025 from 21/07/2025, we would like to inform you about the development of the situation.
Unfortunately, since last week, conditions for departures and arrivals to/from the Port of Hamburg have not improved, and the situation remains very serious. Entry is still only permitted with the approval of the Hamburg Port Authority. Due to infrastructure congestion, there is still a lack of capacity for parking trains, which is causing their accumulation in transit towards Hamburg. This severe slowdown in train traffic also has a negative impact on the smooth flow of our connections to Bremerhaven, Wilhelmshaven, Rotterdam, and on national connections within Germany.
The delay in terminal processing is causing significant delays to import trains. At the same time, it forces the cancellation of other import slots, for which we will not receive compensation, and shipment planning is therefore being postponed.
This situation naturally affects all our services to and from North German ports, including German national services. We will continue to keep you informed of developments.
