Based on a notice from Luka Koper, d.d. and Slovenian Railways, we would like to inform you about the current situation in Slovenia.
 
The container terminal in Koper is still overcrowded, which greatly complicates operational activities at the terminal and handling of trains.
 
On 14 September 2023 at 15:20, as a result of a lightning strike at Ljubljana Zalog station, the overhead line was damaged, which resulted in a disruption of passenger and freight traffic. The extraordinary event caused delays and further congestion of the infrastructure.

For this reason, we were forced to modify the train schedule and cancel 9 pairs of trains from/to Koper in the last few days.
 
Despite our best efforts, we are currently unable to replace the cancelled capacity. Due to these restrictions on the corridor, our capacities remain limited. Unfortunately, the lack of capacity will affect the transit time of our trains from/to Koper.
