Strike of Terminal Workers at North German Ports

Dear Customers,

After strikes that took place last week in Hamburg and Bremerhaven, another one is now taking place in all North German ports at the same time. The work stoppage at the terminals began at 6:00 a.m. today and is due to last until 6:00 a.m. tomorrow 18/06/2024.

We managed to catch up with the train delays caused by the strikes and lockout in the Elbe Valley last week, except for Bremerhaven, where there was a strike last Wednesday as well. Today’s warning strike by port workers will make the situation significantly worse again.

Please take this into account when planning your shipments. We are monitoring the situation and will keep you informed of developments.
