Updates on the operating situation on the northern and southern corridors

Dear Customers,
We would like to inform you about the situation on our northern and southern corridors.

Hamburg

The second 24-hour lockout of the Finkenwerder Bridge took place over this weekend, blocking the connection to the Hamburg terminals CT Burchardkai and Eurogate. We will face further, shorter closures on this section at the beginning of October this year.

The HPA has been regulating arrivals to the port of Hamburg since the beginning of July. During the past weekend, we were forced to stop a large number of trains along the way, which are currently starting to move again. The situation affects not only our services to / from Hamburg, but also services Bremerhaven and Wilhelmshaven.

The most critical situation is currently on the German national service, which is facing the highest number of stopped export trains, causing also lack of trainsets for planned import trains.

Koper

As we have previously informed you, the operation on the route to / from the port of Koper is significantly limited with major closures beginning recently, due to which we have to reduce the total number of connections on this service. However, the weekend brought further significant complications in the form of derailments of trains of other operators on two different sections of the Slovenian railways. Therefore, we were forced to cancel another 3 pairs of trains.

Currently, operation on the corridor is restored again, but due to the mentioned extraordinary events, using one track only and at limited speed.

We keep on monitoring the situation on our entire network constantly and we are working hard to minimize the negative impacts on our services.

Please feel free to contact our customer service departments in case of questions regarding your shipments in particular.
