Dear Customers,
We would like to follow up on our last newsletter regarding the Congestion Surcharge (CS) No. 063/2026 from 1 April 2026 and remind you of the change in its amount, which takes effect on 1 May 2026.
The operational situation remains complicated. Closures and restrictions on railway lines are leading to infrastructure congestion, compounded by delays at port terminals and restrictions on port access.
Another significant factor reflected in the surcharge relates to the recent announcement by national carriers regarding price increases due to rising fuel costs. Unfortunately, the prices announced by the contracted operators are not final as of today, and further adjustments cannot be ruled out.
This will affect shipments that rely on diesel traction in any section, including, among others, the Divača–Koper section in both directions.
Unfortunately, the reasons described earlier and above continue to compel us to increase the Congestion Surcharge. At the same time, however, we have managed to implement several minor adjustments, optimise our operational planning processes, and, as a result, reduce the originally announced amount of this surcharge.
We are pleased to be able to offer you at least partial compensation during these difficult times and to share the savings we have achieved with you.
The final Congestion Surcharge rates effective as of 1 May 2026 can be found here.
