We received information about the strike of train drivers of the German union GDL from September 1st 2021, 5:00 pm to September 7th 2021, 02:00 am. We assume a similar situation as for the last strike of the GDL association in Germany. If DB Netz staff operating the railway infrastructure does not join the strike, METRANS trains will continue to operate on their regular routes without restrictions.
It’s about a week now when the operation on the repaired railway corridor between Germany and the Czech Republic Děčín / Bad Schandau has been fully resumed. Thanks to this, we are gradually succeeding in eliminating delays in dispatching of accumulated shipments, and in the near time, it will be possible to offer standard service of our company again in the handling of container shipments to and from the Czech Republic. Unfortunately, however, it is still necessary to take into account the limited possibilities for changes and planning of departures of containers on trains in connection with irregularities in vessel arrivals and departures.
